Cozy stay with a friendly host
I had a lovely one-night stay in a Budget Single Room. The room was cozy and nicely furnished, making it a comfortable spot to relax after exploring the area. The friendly host was welcoming, and the easy check-in process was a plus. the bathroom could use a bit of an update.

convenient location, double-glazed windows, easy check-in process
The bathroom needs significant TLC!!! The window handle was broken, making ventilation impossible, and the smoke alarm taped over is a safety hazard!!! Room cleanliness could definitely use more attention!!!

the proprietor was super friendly na it made checkin really easy. even tho the budget single room was small, it was really comfy and nicely furnished. i had no issues with road noise like other reviews said, the double glazed windows worked well. also, pretty nice that the walk to town wasn't far at all.
the bathroom was a bit cramped and could use an update.

It's a lovely place with charming, well-furnished rooms that, while small, feel cozy. Check-in was simple with advance access codes, and the staff were extremely helpful, even keeping my partner's jeans for pickup later. A short walk to town made it convenient for exploring.

The location of The Grafton Rooms is a major plus. it’s close to local attractions and easy to navigate around town. The check-in process was straightforward, with clear instructions sent via email. The bed provided decent comfort for a good night’s sleep. Unfortunately, the room had a few downsides. The bathroom plumbing was not in the best shape, with the toilet needing attention and some fittings loosely hanging off. There was also a strange smell coming from the bathroom that lingered throughout my stay. Noise from the busy road outside was intrusive, making it hard to get a restful night's sleep. Plus, the heating system worked only sporadically, leading to discomfort during the night. I also noticed some cleanliness issues, particularly around the vents and light fixtures. All these points detracted from an otherwise decent stay.

I stayed at The Grafton Rooms during my trip and appreciated its proximity to the town center. Though I noted some cleanliness issues, the accommodating host made the check-in process smooth. The bed was comfortable enough for a night’s rest before heading out to explore the area further.

The room was perfect for what we needed, just a place to sleep after a night out. The shower was fantastic, powerful and hot, which was really refreshing. the road noise was quite disruptive at night. It would’ve been nice to have better soundproofing.
